One of the new technologies of neurostimulation is IR ( Near Infrared Light Therapy ). According to various experimental data, this technology acts on neurons and promotes their depolarization. The method was tested in vitro Katz with colleagues . in 2010. The mechanism of action on the cell is not yet entirely clear.
Recent studies have shown that exposure to light from a pulsed laser can change the growth of axons of neurons of the cerebral cortex in cell cultures ( Mathew with et al , 2010). However, the use of these methods on people suffering from mental or organic disorders is still questionable.
